LOCATION
Maybeck Cottage is one of small group of converted farm buildings, collectively known as 'Heron Holiday Cottages', set in 15 acres of farmland, on the edge of Ruswarp village, at the end of a private road with ample parking space. It is situated in an elevated position with magnificent views over the Esk Valley (see photograph below) and the North York Moors
In the opposite direction, the famous ruins of Whitby Abbey can be seen two miles across the fields. A few miles further north is the charming coastal village of Staithes. Near the cottage, there is a mini golf course . Here, canoes can also be hired for a short trip up and down the river Esk. Please refer to the map for an approximate geographical location.
